Navy Yard is a 42-acre development along the Anacostia River waterfront that was originally an annex of the Washington Navy Yard. Taken together with The Wharf, this area is an incredible place to find waterfront activity, great shopping, and fine dining.

Del Mar. Located at the Wharf, Del Mar is an upscale dining experience taking place in a Spanish villa setting. At Del Mar, you can enjoy Spanish cuisine alongside beautiful waterfront views. Another great restaurant in the area is

The Anthem, a live music venue and part of The Wharf redevelopment of the Waterfront. In addition, to live music, The Anthem also hosts other events such as the
Taste of the South Gala. Another great event in the area,
DC JazzFest is an annual event around September with live performances and educational opportunities.
Nationals Park is also a popular place to go for fun baseball games.

The Yards Park, located in Navy Yard, is a large waterfront park with a waterfall, performance space, a walkable boardwalk, and open green spaces. For those that love boating,
The Wharf Marina is the perfect place to launch a boat and spend time by the water.
The Waterfront Park is a three-and-a-half-acre park with walking paths, bocce courts, play areas, and views of the Washington Channel.
Schools
The Waterfront and the surrounding areas are served by the District of Columbia Public Schools district. Several great schools can be found in the area, including Brent Elementary School and Jefferson Middle School Academy, as well as private schools such as Capitol Hill Day School.
