Welcome to Logan Circle
One of the trendiest neighborhoods of DC
Named after the neighborhood’s southern end’s traffic roundabout featuring historic townhouses and a circular park home to a statue of John Logan, Logan Circle is located in the northwest quadrant of Washington, DC. It is a primarily residential neighborhood with two historic districts and plenty of historic landmarks. The area was originally known as Iowa Circle but was renamed by Congress in 1930 to honor John A. Logan, a Civil War hero and Illinois senator.
Logan Circle is full of beautiful apartments, condos, and townhomes, and this is one of DC’s most highly-coveted communities, often resulting in a steeper price point. Many of the buildings and homes in this area are in the Victorian style and had been designed by the architect Glenn Brown. Several of Brown’s homes are featured on the National Register of Historic Places.

Logan Circle’s affluent atmosphere stems from the incredible main business street, 14th Street NW. Logan Circle has plenty to offer its residents in terms of places to dine and shop, as well as many great things to do around the neighborhood. The main place to go for these services is 14th Street NW, considered to be the main business drag of Logan Circle.

Le Diplomate. This restaurant is a relaxed French-inspired restaurant with classic French fare for brunch, lunch, and dinner alongside an extensive wine and cocktail list. Another great restaurant to try in the area is
Lupo Verde, a delicious Italian eatery with rustic, Southern Italian style dishes and house-made liquors, all served in an intimate setting.
For shopping, these stores are some of the best. Amazon opened one of its
Amazon Fresh stores in the area, a great place to go and buy all the grocery and home goods you could need. Also available in the area is

Things to Do
When looking for places to spend a day, one great option is the neighborhood’s namesake,
Logan Circle. The park is home to the equestrian memorial statue of John A. Logan and has many places to explore and learn about the history of the area. One great local event to partake in is
Celebrate Logan, a festival that takes place in September every year and showcases local restaurants and shops. Another popular event in the area is the
Capital Pride Parade, hosted by the Capital Pride Alliance in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Schools
The Logan Circle community is served by the District of Columbia Public Schools system, including Garrison Elementary School located within Logan Circle.
